Certificate of Appreciation for Service on the Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) of the Hernando/Citrus Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO)

BRIEF OVERVIEW
John Wade’s appointment as the Citrus County-Unincorporated representative position on the CAC expired December 31, 2023. Mr. Wade has notified the MPO of his decision to not seek reappointment. In recognition of Mr. Wade’s service on the CAC from 2014 through 2023, a Certificate of Appreciation is attached.
The composition of the CAC is established by Florida Statutes and includes 11 positions, currently six are filled. The MPO is actively recruiting members for the current vacancies and Public Notices have been given to the Public Information Officers of Citrus and Hernando Counties.

Pursuant to Chapter 339.175, Florida Statutes, the MPO Board has the authority to take the recommended action.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended the MPO Board authorize the Chair’s signature upon the Certificate of Appreciation and enlists the MPO Board’s assistance in recruitment efforts from their jurisdictions.
