body

BRIEF OVERVIEW

This workshop is scheduled for the Board to have discussion regarding general obligation bonds and alternative revenue sources in regard to needed capital projects.

November 5, 2024, is the Presidential Election.  Hernando County has the option of placing a referendum on the ballot for the Citizens to decide if the needed capital projects should be completed for the quality of life in Hernando County, and how they should be paid for.

The County has needs for capital improvements in many areas.  The BOCC has previously prioritized Public Safety and Transportation as possible options for referendums for this year’s Presidential Election.
