FY 2027 Project Grant Agreement With Withlacoochee Regional Water Supply Authority for Local Government Water Supply and Conservation Funding Assistance Program

BRIEF OVERVIEW
On June 23, 2026, the Hernando County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) approved Resolution No. 2026-124 supporting Hernando County Utilities Department’s (HCUD) application to the Withlacoochee Regional Water Supply Authority (WRWSA) Local Government Water Supply and Conservation Funding Assistance Program.
WRWSA Board approved HCUD’s funding request at their July 15, 2026, meeting. This grant agreement will provide matching funds for the FY 2027 budget to continue the water resource protection and conservation program.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board approve and authorize the Chairman’s signature on the attached FY 2027 Project Grant Agreement for the WRWSA Local Water Supply and Conservation Funding Assistance Program.
