BRIEF OVERVIEW
Hernando County Fire Rescue utilizes TNT tools and equipment in the performance of emergency responses for public safety. Southern Rescue Tools, LLC provides the TNT annual factory maintenance of the tools and equipment by certified factory technicians. The annual factory maintenance ensures the lifetime warranty of the tools and equipment remains valid and greatly reduces mechanical failures in the performance of an emergency response.
TNT Rescue Systems geographically authorizes one dealer per state to provide certified factory maintenance on the tools and equipment. Southern Rescue Tools, LLC, is the sole authorized provider of such services in the State of Florida.
The Procurement Department posted a Notice of Intended Sole Source to Southern Rescue Tools, LLC on February 06, 2026, with the last date of challenges being February 20,2026. As of February 21, 2026, the Procurement Department did not receive any challenges.
Hernando County Fire Rescue Department is requesting approval for a three (3) year term contract with two (2) one-year renewals.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board approve Contract No. 26-TSS00275 to Southern Rescue Tools, Inc. for the three-year term with an annual spend of $18,300.00 and a contract value of $54,900.00.
It is further recommended that the Board approve the Chief Procurement Officer to approve change orders as necessary and up to budgeted amounts.
