BRIEF OVERVIEW
On May 14, 2019, the Board approved Contract No. 19-R00007/BK Request for Qualifications for Construction Services Under $200K, Doc Id. No. 15661, prequalifying nine (9) Contractors for four (4) Construction Categories. The Purchasing and Contracts Department was to bring to the Board any quote that exceeded the ABR of $35,000.00.
On May 13, 2022, the Hernando County Public Works Department solicited Quote No. 78 under Contract No. 19-R00007/BK for the Spring Hill Drive at Suncoast Parkway West Interchange - Re-bid comprised of repair and restriping an approximate 99 ft x 57 ft area at the intersection of Spring Hill Drive near the West Interchange ramps.
The quote was sent to the three (3) Pre-qualified Contractors under Category A: Public Works (Fence Installation, concrete work, asphalt resurfacing, site work) and Category C: Utilities (Pipe Installation). Two (2) responses were “no bid” and one (1) quote was received.

Hernando County Public Works Department is recommending award of Quote No. 78 to Goodwin Bros. Construction for the Spring Hill Drive at Suncoast Parkway West Interchange - Re-bid.
In accordance with Procurement Ordinance and Purchasing Policies and Procedures.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funds are available from Hernando County Public Works Department budget line item:
Expense Account - 1022-03241-5616305 Addtl LOGT 1-5 Gas, Improv-Pavement Mgt in the amount of $82,036.00.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board approve and authorize the Chairman’s signature on the attached work authorization agreement for the approval of Quote No. 78 under Contract No. 19-R00007/BK, to Goodwin Bros. Construction for Spring Hill Drive at Suncoast Parkway West Interchange re-bid in the amount of $82,036.00 and authorize the Chief Procurement Officer to approve change orders as they become necessary and required.
The Contract requires that any cost above the ABR of $35K requires Board purchase approval.
