BRIEF OVERVIEW

On May 14, 2024, the BOCC approved award of Contract No. 24-PS0157 to Wannemacher Jensen Architects, Inc., for the Fire Station at US 19 and Atlanta Avenue Design and Construction Monitoring for $313,129.00.

 

The purchase order was originally issued for $313,129.00.  Change Order No. 4 in the amount of $61,874.00, would increase the purchase order to $434,435.00.

 

Change Order No. 1 in the amount of $14,582 was approved by the Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) on July 24, 2024, for additional geotechnical exploration.

 

Change Order No. 2 in the amount of $44,850.00 was approved by the CPO on August 22, 2024, to increase purchase order for improvements at the US 19 and Atlanta Avenue intersection.

 

Change Order No. 3 was a no-cost change order, approved by the CPO on February 3, 2025, for addition of Project Code 101510 that was not included on Change Order No. 3 for line 3.

 

Hernando County Fire Department has requested an increase for Purchase Order No. 24000832 for additional services and scope to include a redesign of the current prototype to reduce construction costs as directed by the Board.

 

FINANCIAL IMPACT

Funding in the amount of $61,874.00 is available in the following

 

Fund:  1661 - HC FIRE RESCUE - FIRE, Department:  02261 - HC FIRE RESCUE - FIRE, Account:  5303101 - PROFESSIONAL SERVICES in the amount of $30,937.00

 

Fund:  1691 - HC FIRE RESCUE - RESCUE, Department:  02491 - HC FIRE RESCUE - RESCUE, Account:  5303101 - PROFESSIONAL SERVICES in the amount of $30,937.00

The Board has the authority to act on this item pursuant to Part II, Chapter 2, Article V of the Hernando County Code of Ordinances.

RECOMMENDATION

It is recommended the Board approve Change Order No. 4 in the amount of $61,874.00 to Wannemacher Jensen Architects, Inc., for Purchase Order No. 24000832, bringing the total purchase order amount to $434,435.00.
