Amendment to Traffic Signal Maintenance and Compensation Agreement With State Department of Transportation for Maintenance of State Highway Lighting and Associated Resolution

body

BRIEF OVERVIEW

In 2002, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) implemented a program to partially reimburse the maintaining agencies for the expenses they incur.

Since then, the Department of Public Works maintains traffic signals on State intersections per agreement between FDOT and the County.

Staff recently received an Amendment to the existing Traffic Signal Maintenance and Compensation to modify the existing Agreement.  The agreement is amended as outlined in the attached Amendment to Traffic Signal Maintenance and Compensation Agreement and inventory of FDOT traffic signals that Hernando County Department of Public Works maintains.

1.                     Agreement Paragraphs 1, 3, 6, 12, 31, and 35 are amended, superseded, and replaced in their entirety with the new Paragraphs 1, 3, 6, 12, 31, and 35 attached hereto this Amendment.

2.                     Agreement Exhibits A, B, and C are amended, superseded, and replaced in their entirety with new Exhibits A, B, and C attached hereto to this Amendment.

3.                     Except as modified in this Amendment, all terms and conditions of the Agreement and any amendments or modifications thereto remain in full force and effect.

The FY 2023 compensation totals $172,166.00.

A resolution authorizing a position or individual to execute the Agreement is attached.

FINANCIAL IMPACT

Funding for the FDOT Signal Maintenance and Compensation is budgeted annually within the Transportation Trust Fund Account No. 1011-3449030.  The FY 2023 was estimated at $172,166.00.

LEGAL NOTE
