BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Vendor/Contractor will supply all materials, labor, and equipment in order to accomplish the supply, repair and maintenance of Crane pump brands including Barnes Pumps and Accessories, in Hernando County, Florida.
At the request of the Utilities Department, the sole source solicitation Supply, Repair and Maintenance of Barnes Pumps was issued to purchase pumps and process repairs on an as-needed basis. The Utilities Department estimates an annual spend of $80,000.00 for pumps and repairs.
On July 19, 2024, a Sole/Single Source Notice of Intent to award for Term Sole Source Contract No. 24-TSS00822/JC to Southeastern Pump was posted per Procurement Policies and Procedures. The last day for receipt of information was August 12, 2024. As of this date, the Procurement Department had received no communications regarding the Notice of Intent to Sole Source.
In the State of Florida, the vendor Southeastern Florida Pump, LLC, d/b/a Southeastern Pump is the only authorized vendor in our geographical area for the supply and service of Barnes Pumps and this fact is verified by a formal letter from Crane Pumps & Systems.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funds of $240,000.00 are available from Fund: 4121 - HCUD Renewal and Replacmnt, Department: 07201 - Renewal and Replacement, Account: 5304617 - Repair/Maint-Sewer Plant.

recommendation
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended the Board approve and authorize the Chairperson’s signature on the attached Term Sole Source Contract No. 24-TSS00822/JC to Southeastern Florida Pump, LLC d/b/a Southeastern Pump for the supply, repair and maintenance of Barnes Pumps, with an estimated annual spend of $80,000.00, for an initial three (3) year term contract with two (2) additional, one (1) year unilateral renewal options available at the discretion of the County.
It is further recommended the Board authorize the Chief Procurement Officer to approve change orders as they become necessary and required up to the allowable budget amount.
