BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Hernando County Property Appraiser vacated their space within the Hernando County Court House in 2018, under the “Space Needs Project” to provide judicial space. In 2018, an Office Lease was prepared between The City of Brooksville and The Hernando County Property Appraiser’s Office for office space located on the third floor of the City of Brooksville’s City Hall, Parcel Key No. 144980, located at 201 North Howell Avenue, Brooksville, Florida 34601. In addition to containing convenient access and parking, this site was also determined to be suitable for the Hernando County Property Appraiser’s Office due to its convenient location within the downtown area of Brooksville.
The office lease that was entered into between The Hernando County Property Appraiser’s Office and The City of Brooksville remains in effect from June 12, 2018, through September 1, 2021. The Second Amendment extended the lease through the last day of August 2024. This Third Amendment being brought before the Hernando County Board of County Commissioners is to extend the lease for an additional six years, terminating on the last day of August 2030.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The leased space is 9,200 square feet. The monthly rental amount beginning in September 2024 will be $10,874.42 with annual increases of 2.6%. Funding is available in following account.

It is recommended that the Board approve and authorize the Chairperson's signature on the attached Second Amendment to Office Lease between the Hernando County Property Appraiser and the City of Brooksville.
