BRIEF OVERVIEW
On January 11, 2023, Hernando County Utilities Department requested piggyback of the City of Clearwater Contract 22-0006-UT Sewer Point Repairs and Improvements Project. The Contract allows for three (3) renewal terms and is currently in its first renewal period with an expiration of September 15, 2024. The City of Clearwater does not issue renewal letters annually. The City of Clearwater has confirmed the contract was renewed on September 16, 2023, for one year, with two (2) one-year renewals remaining.
Hernando County Utilities Department is requesting for piggyback approval with
Rowland, Inc., to provide the Contract services for the contract term, in the estimated annual spend amount of $300,000.00 for Fiscal Year 24 and for the remaining two (2) one-year renewals.
Hernando County Procurement Department has assigned No. 24-P0147/FH to this Contract for tracking purposes.
The Chief Procurement Officer has reviewed this requirement for conformance to
Procurement Ordinance and Purchasing Policies and Procedures.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The estimated annual amount is $300,000.00. The actual expenditure is unknown and will be based upon the department’s available budget, actual work identified and as required during the year. Funding will come from budgeted funds in Hernando County Utilities Account No. 4121-07201-5304615.

The Board has the authority to act on this matter pursuant to Chapter 125, Florida Statutes.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended the Board approve the utilization of City of Clearwater 22-0006-UT with Rowland, Inc., for sewer point repairs and improvements for the contract term, in the estimated annual spend amount of $300,000.00.
It is further recommended the Board approve the Chief Procurement Officer to renew the contract with the same terms and conditions and approve change orders as they become necessary and required up to annual budgeted amount.
