BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Hernando County Utility Department has discovered a need to expand the lift station located on Shoal Line Boulevard and Hermosa Boulevard, in Hernando Beach, identified as parcel Key 1375540.
The Hernando County Utilities Department is currently working on a pump station rehabilitation project located on the southwest corner of Shoal Line Boulevard and Hermosa Boulevard. This pump station is the master pump station for the Hernando Beach service area. As part of this rehabilitation project additional equipment is being proposed to help with resiliency and redundancy efforts. The additional property will assist with the current and any future projects.
Staff recommends the contract to purchase the property located on Shoal Line Boulevard, owned by John Dolci, for the amount of $248,200.00 be approved.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
The funds for this acquisition are available in Fund: 4111 - Hernando County Utilities, Department: 07091 - HCUD Administration, Account: 5626101 - Land Acquisition. The approved Budget Amendment (BA) aligns the budget for this request, it is attached.
LEGAL NOTE
Reviewed and approved for form and sufficiency by the County Attorney’s Office. The Board is authorized to act on this matter pursuant to Chapter 125, Florida Statutes.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board approve and authorize the Chairperson’s signature on the attached contract for purchase and sale, approve the attached associated budget amendment and authorize the County Attorney’s Office to sign the necessary documents on behalf of the County to close this transaction.
