BRIEF OVERVIEW
On September 26, 2023, the Board approved Contract No. 23-T00040/AP for Pre-Qualification of Vendors for Construction Services for Projects under $500,000, pre-qualifying firms under three (3) categories, A-Public Works, C-Utilities, D-Facilities to provide quotes for County projects on an as-needed basis.
On October 14, 2025, Hernando County Fire Rescue and Emergency Services issued a Request for Quotes (Contract No. 23-T00040/AP Quote 42) for Remodel of Fire Station No. 7( Mondon Hil Rd) Remodel Project.
The Request for Quote was sent to eight (8) pre-qualified firms for Category D-Facilities.

Five (5) replies to the Request for Quote were received by the Quote Due Date of November 24, 2025, from the following firms:

5. Seggie Custom Builders, LLC $160,554.75
Hernando County Fire Rescue and Emergency Services reviewed for price, conformance to specifications and the Bidder’s ability to perform the contract in accordance with the terms, conditions and specifications required and is recommending award of quote to MVH Construction, LLC.
A Notice of Intent to Award was posted on December 29, 2025, and no challenges were received.

Funding in the amount of $106,845.55 is available from the following:

recommendation
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended the Board approve and authorize the Chairman’s signature on the attached Work Authorization Agreement with MVH Construction, LLC for Quote No. 42 to Contract No. 23-T00040/AP for the remodel of Fire Station No. 7 project in the amount of $106,845.55.
It is further recommended the Board authorize the Chief Procurement Officer to approve change orders as necessary and required up to budgeted amounts.
