BRIEF OVERVIEW
On April 19, 2024, Hernando County Animal Services Department submitted a request to the Procurement Department to piggyback Sourcewell Contract No. 080819-TFU, to provide Flooring Materials with Related Supplies and Services with a contract expiration of October 11, 2024, and no additional renewal periods remaining. This is a one-time purchase for Epoxy flooring for the Animal Service Kennels.
Hernando County Animal Services Department currently has no contracts for Flooring Materials with Related Supplies and Services and requests piggyback approval with Tarkett USA, Inc., to provide those services for the remaining contract term with no additional renewal, in the estimated spend amount of $87,149.28.
Hernando County Procurement Department has assigned Contract No. 24-PG00163 to this Contract for tracking purposes.
The Chief Procurement Officer has reviewed this requirement for conformance to Procurement Ordinance and Purchasing Policies and Procedures.

recommendation
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended the Board approve the utilization of Sourcewell Contract No. 080819-TFU (Hernando County File No. 24-PG0163) with Tarkett USA, Inc., for the remaining contract term with no additional renewal, in the estimated spend amount of $87,149.28.
It is furthermore recommended that the Board approve and authorize the Chairperson’s signature on the attached associated budget resolution, which will allocate the full funding of the grant award needed for the contract.
