BRIEF OVERVIEW
On November 5, 2018, the Board approved award of Contract No. 18-R00045/PH for Continuing Engineering Services.
Purchase Order No. 24000768 in the amount of $321,912.00 was issued on May 3, 2024, for Task Order No. 62 for Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) No. 111997 Animal Services Building Expansion and Renovation Project. The project was originally budgeted in FY25 and Board approved 5-Year CIP plan for $254,000.00.
To provide for the Animal Services Renovation and Expansion Project, the Department requests approval for additional services to the task order contract in the amount of $78,833.84. The additional services relate to necessary adjustments to the construction documents for the revised location for the new addition. The design includes ramp and stairs, accommodations for required fire access to all buildings and identifies the area for future relocation of the play yard.
Amendment No. 1 to Task Order No. 62 would increase the total task order contract amount from $321,912.00 to $400,745.84.
As requested, the Procurement Department has prepared Amendment No. 1 for Task Order No. 62 for additional services for the Animal Services Renovation and Expansion Project. Except for items noted in the requested Amendment, all other terms and conditions shall remain the same.
The Chief Procurement Officer has reviewed this requirement for conformance to Procurement Ordinance and Purchasing Policies and Procedures.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funding from Reserves in the amount of $146,745.84 (78,833.84 plus the difference budgeted in FY25 and purchase order $321,912.00-254,000=67,912) is available in the following:
Fund: 0011 - General Fund, Department: 05981 - Contingencies Reserves, Account: 5909999 - Budg Res/Cash Forward
Pending approval of attached Budget Amendment, funding is available in the following:
Fund: 0011 - General Fund, Department: 01421 - Animal Services, Account: 5606301 - Improvements Grtr than 10k.

The Board has the authority to act on this matter pursuant to Part II, Chapter 2, Article V of the Hernando County Code of Ordinances.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended the Board approve the attached Amendment No. 1 to Task Order No. 62 for Contract No. 18-R00045/PH in the amount of $78,833.34 increasing the original task order value to $400,745.84. It is further recommended that the Board approve the attached budget amendment.
