BRIEF OVERVIEW
On May 12, 2026, Hernando County Facilities Department requested authorization to piggyback Pasco County Schools Contract No. 26-028-SD for Emergency Lock and Key Services. The contract has an initial expiration date of March 3, 2031, and provides for three (3) additional one-year renewal periods. The Hernando County Procurement Department has assigned Contract No. 26-P01366 for tracking purposes.
Hernando County Facilities Department is seeking approval to utilize the Pasco County Schools contract with Tri-County Locksmith of the Suncoast Inc. to ensure continuity and efficiency in the delivery of emergency lock and key services. The estimated annual spend is $15,000, with an estimated total contract value of $75,000.00 over the five-year contract term.
This request will allow the County to continue services previously provided under Contract No. 19-P00070, which expired on 01/18/2026.
The Chief Procurement Officer has reviewed this requirement for conformance to
Procurement Ordinance and Purchasing Policies and Procedures.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended the Board approve the utilization of Pasco County Schools Contract 26-028-SD (Hernando County File No. 26-P01366) with Tri-County Locksmith of the Suncoast, Inc. for emergency lock and key services for the contract term with renewals (five year term with three one year renewals) in the estimated spend amount of $75,000.00 with an estimated annual spend amount of $15,000.00.
It is further recommended the Board authorize the Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) to renew the contract with the same terms and conditions and to approve change orders as they become necessary and required up to annual budgeted amounts.
