BRIEF OVERVIEW
On May 9, 2023, the Board approved Contract No. 23-T00041/GL Pre-Qualification for Installation of Access Control and Video Communication Systems, pre-qualifying Minuteman Security Technologies, Inc., and MSC of Tampa, Inc., to provide quotes for County projects as needed.
To improve security within the Department of Public Works Compound, quotes were solicitated from two (2) pre-qualified companies using Contract 23-R00041/GL on October 27, 2023. One (1) response was received

Minuteman Security Technologies, Inc. $344,227.19
The amount of $344,227.19 will be split between Public Works (60% @ $206,566.31), Fleet (35% @ $120,497.02) and Transit (5% @ $17,213.86) departments.
To proceed with the work, the attached budget resolution realigning funds from various expenditure and reserve accounts into the Transportation Trust Fund transfer account, to cover overall project costs, requires Board approval.
The scope of work and associated quote for this project contains sensitive information related to the security of the County’s critical infrastructure. Therefore, in accordance with Florida Statute 119.071, these documents are not included in this approval as the disclosure of those items is exempt from the public record.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funding is available in Account No. 1011-03101-5606301($344,227.19) Transp. Trust Fund, Capital Improv, Equipment > $5,000 with approval of attached associated budget resolution.

The Board is authorized to act on this matter pursuant to Chapter 125 and Section 129.06, Florida Statutes.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board approve the quote from Minuteman Security Technologies, Inc., in the amount of $344,227.19. It is further recommended that the Board approve and authorize the Chairperson’s signature on the attached associated budget resolution.
