BRIEF OVERVIEW
On September 26, 2023, the Board approved Contract No. 23-T00040/AP Pre-qualification for Construction Services under $500,000, pre-qualifying firms under three categories, A-Public Works, C-Utilities, and D-Facilities, to provide quotes for County projects as needed.
On October 22, 2024, the Hernando County Facilities Department issued a Request for Quotes (23-T00040/AP Quote #21) for Parking Lot and Drive Replacement Project for Chinsegut Dinning Hall Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Parking and Restroom Addition.
The Request for Quote was sent to eight pre-qualified firms for Category D-Facilities.

Two (2) replies to the Request for Quote were received by the Quote Due Date of August 13, 2024, from the following firms:
• Seggie Custom Builders, LLC - $298,917.00
• Waller Construction, Inc. - $317,813.00
Quotes were reviewed and evaluated for price, conformance to specifications and the Quoter’s ability to perform the contract in accordance with the terms, conditions and specifications required and award is recommended to Seggie Custom Builders, LLC, in the amount of $298,917.00.
The Chief Procurement Officer has reviewed this requirement for conformance to Procurement Ordinance and Purchasing Policies and Procedures.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The attached Budget Amendment (BA) would add funds in the amount of $119,160 from Fund: 0011 - General Fund, Department: 05981 - CONTINGENCIES RESERVE, Account: 5909999 - BUDGET RES/Cash Forward.
Current funding, before the BA, is budgeted in the amount of $179,757.00 in Fund: 0011 - General Fund, Department: 01703 - CHINSEGUT HILL FACILITIES, Account: 5606201 - BLDGS-CONSTN AND/OR IMP.
Upon approval of the attached BA, the budget for Fund: 0011 - General Fund, Department: 01703 - CHINSEGUT HILL FACILITIES, Account: 5606201 - BLDGS-CONSTN AND/OR IMP would increase to $298,917 (179,757 + 119,160).

recommendation
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board approve the attached budget amendment. It is further recommended the BOCC authorize the Chairman’s signature on the attached work authorization to Seggie Custom Builders, LLC for Quote No. 21 to Contract No. 23-T00040/AP for the parking lot and drive replacement project for Chinsegut dining hall ADA parking and restroom addition ($298,917.00) project.
It is further recommended that the Board authorize the Chief Procurement Officer to approve change orders up to budgeted amount as they become necessary and required.
