BRIEF OVERVIEW
On October 27, 2025, the Utilization of Fire Rescue uniforms and related items was approved by the Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) for Brevard County Contract No. B-2-25-37, Hernando County File No. 26-P0268, to Design Lab, Inc., in the amount of $40,000.00.
On January 29, 2026, an annual increase for $110,000.00 was approved by BOCC, for annual spend for uniform requirements bringing the estimated annual spend to $150,000.00.
Hernando County Fire and Emergency Services has requested an increase to cover additional annual spend for Fiscal Year 2026 increasing the FY26 spend to $220,000.00.
Hernando County Fire Rescue Department is also requesting an increase to annual spend for the remaining Contract term for an estimated $220,000.00 per year.

Funding is budgeted in Hernando County Fire and Emergency Services for FY26 and FY27 in the following:

Fund: HC Fire Rescue- Rescue Funds -B111, Department: HCFR-Rescue -141, Account: Clothing & Uniform Apprl- 535205
Funds will continue to be budgeted for both Hernando County Fire and Rescue in future years.

recommendation
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended the Board approve an increase in the annual expenditure for an estimated annual spend of $220,000.00 of the cooperative purchase agreement (piggyback) of Brevard County Contract No. B-2-25-37with Design Lab, Inc. (Hernando County File No. 26-P0268).
It is further recommended that the Board authorize the Chief Procurement Officer to approve change orders as they become necessary and required up to annual budgeted amounts.
