BRIEF OVERVIEW
On September 26, 2023, the Board approved Contract No. 23-T00040/AP Pre-qualification for Construction Services under $500,000.00, pre-qualifying firms under three categories, A-Public Works, C-Utilities, and D-Facilities, to provide quotes for County projects as needed.
On February 14, 2024, the Solid Waste Department issued a Request for Quotes (23-T00040/AP Quote #4) for the Rip Rap project.
The Request for Quote was sent to ten (10) pre-qualified firms for Categories A and D.

Two (2) replies to the Request for Quote were received by the Quote Due Date of March 12, 2024, from the following firm:
• Ajax Paving Industries of Florida, LLC - $119,000.00
• Goodwin Bros. Construction, Inc. - $248,245.14
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funding in the amount of $119,000.00 is available in Account No. Fund: 4421 - WASTE MGMT BOND PROCEEDS, Department: 07701 - BOND PROCEEDS S2022, Account: 5666572 - CIP-NW CELL#4

The Board is authorized to act on this matter pursuant to Chapter 125 and Section 129.06, Florida Statutes.
recommendation
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board approve and authorize the Chairperson’s signature on the attached Work Authorization with Ajax Paving Industries of Florida, LLC for Quote No. 4 to Contract No. 23-T00040/AP for the Landfill Rip Rap project ($119,000.00). It is further recommended that the Board authorize the Chief Procurement Officer to approve change orders up to allowable budget amount as they become necessary and required.
