BRIEF OVERVIEW
Hernando County Fires and Emergency Services (HCFES) is requesting authorization to purchase Equipment Service Plans for The County’s Stryker LP-15 defibrillators and Lucas Chest Compression Systems.
HCFES currently uses Stryker defibrillators in the field. The department is requesting this purchase to keep current equipment operating at factory standards. Only Stryker is authorized to perform repairs on this equipment.
Stryker Sales Corporation is the sole-source provider of the LP 15 Life Pak Defibrillator and the Lucas Chest Compression System and this fact is verified by the attached formal letter from Stryker.
1. Eight (8) Lifepak-Field-Procare 12-month plan @ $1,983.60 each
2. Ten (10) Lucas-Field-Procare 12-month plan @ $1,547.10 each
3. Eighteen (18) Lifepak-Field-Procare 9-month plan @ $1,487.70 each
4. Two (2) Lucas-Field-Procare 6-month plan @ $773.55 each
5. One (1) Lucas-Field-Procare 11-month plan @ $1,418.18 each
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funding in the amount of $61,083.68 is available in Account No. 1691-02491-5304603 Repairs and Maintenance - Equipment.

In accordance with Part II, Chapter 2, Article V of the Hernando County Code of Ordinances, as well as Chapter 125, Florida Statutes.
Sole/Single Source Notice of Intent was posted on November 9, 2023, per the Purchasing and Contracts Policies and Procedures No. 070A, Paragraph IV, Sub-Paragraph 4.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended the Board approve the maintenance agreement and approve and authorize the chairperson’s signature on the attached quote from Stryker Sales Corporation in the total amount of $61,083.68. It is further recommended that the Board authorize the Chief Procurement Officer to approve change orders as they become necessary and required up to budgeted amounts.
