BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has extended Grant Offer No. 458750-1-94-01 in the amount of $246,634 for the Airfield Perimeter Wildlife Fencing - Design and Construction Project at Brooksville-Tampa Bay Regional Airport (BKV). The grant application was ratified by the BOCC on June 23, 2026, Doc ID 17598.
The Board previously approved the Federal Aviation Administration Grant (FAA) in the amount of $1,760,000 for this project, which entails the construction of 5,600 feet of Wildlife Perimeter Fencing, 15,500 feet of Wildlife Deterrent Skirting and Two Gates.
The pre-application was approved by the Board on October 14, 2025, Doc ID 16423, which authorized the County Administrator’s signature on any future grant documents relating to this project. Pursuant to that authorization, the County Administrator has signed Grant Agreement No. G3V32 which requires ratification by the Board.

recommendation
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board ratify the County Administrator’s signature on the attached FDOT grant agreement and that the Board approve and authorize the County Administrator’s signature on any further related documents. It is further recommended that the Board approve the associated budget resolution and authorize the Chairman to execute the resolution.
