BRIEF OVERVIEW
On 04/08/2026, Hernando County Development Services submitted a request to the Procurement Department to piggyback Sourcewell Contract No. 121923-SHI to provide Technology Products and Services for Development Services, Planning and Zoning, and the Building Department. The Sourcewell contract has an expiration date of 02/27/2028 and three (3) - one (1) year renewals available.
Hernando County is requesting the use of this contract for Software Services for the Development Services Building Department and Planning and Zoning Department. This request is for the annual software licensing renewal of Forerunner Software and Repetitive Loss Data Module for floodplain management and hazard mitigation currently in use by the departments. This request is in the amount of $60,225.75 annually.
Hernando County Procurement Department has assigned File No. 26-P01342 to this contract for tracking purposes.
The Chief Procurement Officer has reviewed this requirement for conformance to Procurement Ordinance and Purchasing Policies and Procedures.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funding will be from budgeted funds in:
Fund: Development Services Building Department: Account: B401-120-14001-42-52400-533400 and;
Fund: Planning and Zoning Department: Account: B001-122-00000-42-51500-533400

recommendation
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended the Board approve the utilization of Sourcewell Contract 121923-SHI; Hernando County File No. 24-P0120V with SHI International for Technology Products and Services; in the amount of $60,225.75 annually.
It is further recommended the Board authorizes the Chief Procurement Officer to renew the contract with the same terms and conditions and approve change orders as they become necessary and required up to annual budgeted amounts.
