BRIEF OVERVIEW
On December 30, 2024, Hernando County Facilities Department submitted a request to the Procurement Department to piggyback Omnia Partners Contract No. RC2022-1001 for HVAC Products, Installation, Labor Based Solutions, and Related Products and Services, with a contract expiration date of August 31, 2027. The Contract provides for one (1) additional five (5) year renewal period. Hernando County File No. 24-P0130A has been assigned to this contract for tracking purposes.
On March 24, 2020, the Procurement Department obtained Board use approval of various Purchasing Program Contract and Agreements with Omnia Partners f/k/a U. S. Communities, Doc. ID No. 16808.
On September 13, 2022, the Procurement Department obtained Board approval for the purchase of an HVAC controls system upgrade (Phase 1) to replace the aging controls at the Hernando County Government Center Courthouse, Doc ID No. 10952.
Hernando County Facilities Department requests piggyback approval with Trane U. S. Inc., for Hernando County Government Center Courthouse Phase II A/C Controls Replacement. (Expansion of the existing Trane Tracer Ensemble Building Management System (BMS.) This includes controls material and installation associated for replacement of the existing old Legacy Trane Controllers. Phase III and Phase IV will be independently brought to the Board in Fiscal Year 26 and 27.
The Chief Procurement Officer has reviewed this requirement for conformance to Procurement Ordinance and Purchasing Policies and Procedures.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funding in the amount of $203,245 is available in the following:
Fund: 0011 - General Fund, Department: 01701 - Facilities Maintenance, Account: 5606201 - Bldgs-Constn and/or Imp, Project Code: 111899 - Government Ctr Phase 2 A/C Controls Replacement.

recommendation
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended the Board approve the utilization of Omnia Partners Contract No. RC2022-1001; Hernando County File No. 24-P0130A with Trane U. S. Inc., for control systems upgrade to the Hernando County Government Center Courthouse (Phase II); in the estimated spend amount of $203,245.00.
It is further recommended the Board authorize the Chief Procurement Officer to renew the contract with the same terms and conditions and approve change orders as they become necessary and required up to annual budgeted amounts.
