BRIEF OVERVIEW
On February 14, 2023, Hernando County Fire Rescue requested piggyback of Lake County Contract 23-716 Fire Hose Inspection, Ground Ladder Testing, and Related Services, with a contract expiration of January 31, 2024, the Contract provides for two (2) additional two (2) year renewal periods.
Hernando County Fire Rescue and Emergency Services currently has no fire hose inspection, ground ladder testing and related services contract and requests piggyback approval with Waterway of Central Florida, LLC to provide those Contract services for the contract term with renewals, five (5) years, in the estimated spend amount of $100,000.00 with an estimated annual spend amount of $18,275.00.
Hernando County Procurement Department has assigned No. 23-P00200/JG to this Contract for tracking purposes.
The Chief Procurement Officer has reviewed this requirement for conformance to Procurement Ordinance and Purchasing Policies and Procedures.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funding in the estimated annual amount of $18,275.00 is available in Hernando County Fire Rescue Account No. 02261-5304603.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended the Board approve the utilization of Lake County Contract 23-716 with Waterway of Central Florida, LLC for fire hose inspection, ground ladder testing and related services for the contract term with renewals, five (5) years, in the estimated spend amount of $100,000.00 with an estimated annual spend amount of $18,275.00 or as future Hernando County Fire Rescue budgets allow. It is further recommended the Board approve the Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) to renew the contract with the same terms and conditions and approve change orders as they become necessary and required up to annual budgeted amounts.
