BRIEF OVERVIEW
Hernando County Department of Public Works (DPW) is requesting authorization to purchase eight (8) traffic signal cameras and accessories. This is a one-time purchase.
Hernando County Traffic Operations maintains the County’s Traffic Signals. All Traffic Signals in Hernando County are operated by Econolite Equipment and are compatible with the Traffic Management Center/Software. Therefore, to maintain compatibility with all The County’s Traffic Signals, and the Traffic Management Center, Econolite equipment is used.
The Procurement Department posted “Notice of Intended Single-Sole Source Purchase 24-SS00855 Econolite” of subject project on July 8, 2024, with the last date for market challenges on July 26, 2024. As of July 26, 2024, the Procurement Department received no challenges from any sources.
DPW is requesting authorization to purchase (per related quotation from Econolite Control Products, Inc.) as follows:
• Eight (8) Avision 660-015-037 Autoscope Sensor White at $5,800.00 each
• Eight (8) AS017574120SSPNC-PELCO Camera Mount Brackets at $250.00 each
• Two (2) 1175-011 Cable 3 cond. 18 awg Polyethylene 1000 ft spool at $0.60 per foot
• Two (2) 33274G2-Assy, C/C - BUI, SDLC, 8 ft at $50.57 each
• Two (2) A700-1166-01AVCM-Autoscope Comm Mgr at $3,726.32 each
• Shipping costs at $350.00
Total Purchase $57,503.78
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funding in the amount of $57,503.78 in available in Fund: 1017 - Local Option Gas Tax 1-6 Fuel GENL Transp, Department: 03233 - Traffic-LOGT 1-6, Account: 5616307 - Improv-Signals.

recommendation
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board approve Hernando County Contract No. 24-SS00855/JC for the sole source purchase from Econolite Control Products, Inc., for traffic signal camera equipment and associated accessories per detail of this agenda item in the total purchase amount of $57,503.78.
It is further recommended the Board authorize the Chief Procurement Officer to approve change orders as they become necessary and required up to the allowable budget amount.
