BRIEF OVERVIEW
Board approval for award of Contract No. 20-TF0023/TPR for Emergency Debris Removal to Ceres Environmental Services, Inc., TRF Enterprises, Custom Tree Care, Inc., D&J Enterprises, Inc., Grubbs Emergency Services, LLC, and DRC Emergency Services, LLC, was obtained on May 12, 2020, Doc Id. 16921.
The Department of Public Works has requested Amendment No. One (1) to add additional information for debris removal of red tide in areas of Hernando County. Contract No. 20-TF0023/TPR for Emergency Debris Removal was awarded with removal of putrescent debris, Amendment No. 1 will expand on the cleanup and removal of putrescent debris specifically addressing the following areas: Offshore - Red Tide, Bay Cleanup - Red Tide, and Intercoastal and Canals - Red Tide.
Amendment No. One (1) was forwarded to all awarded vendors and Hernando County received signed amendments from Ceres Environmental Services, Inc., TRF Enterprises, Custom Tree Care, Inc., D&J Enterprises, Inc., and DRC Emergency Services, LLC. Grubbs Emergency Services, LLC did not wish to approve of the amendment.
The Chief Procurement Officer has reviewed this requirement for conformance to Procurement Ordinance and Purchasing Policies and Procedures.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funding will be appropriated based on the severity of an event and the County’s need at the time of the emergency.

The Board has the authority to take the recommended action on this item pursuant to Chapter 125, Florida Statutes.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended the Board approve and authorize the Chairman’s signature on attached Amendment No. One (1) to Contract 20-TF0023/TPR to Ceres Environmental Services, Inc., TRF Enterprises, Custom Tree Care, Inc., D&J Enterprises, Inc., and DRC Emergency Services, LLC, for Emergency Debris Removal increase. It is further recommended that the Board authorize the Chief Procurement Officer to approve change orders as they become necessary and required.
