BRIEF OVERVIEW
On March 6, 2024, the Hernando County Parks and Recreation Department requested piggyback of Volusia County Schools Contract MTS-906BC Playgrounds & Related Equipment, with a contract expiration of January 31, 2025, the Contract is in its last renewal term.
Hernando County Parks and Recreation Department currently has no playgrounds and related equipment contract and requests piggyback approval with Top Line Recreation, Inc., to provide those contract services for this fiscal year contract term, in the estimated spend amount of $250,000.00. The Parks and Recreation Department is requesting approval to purchase and install playground equipment for both Pioneer Park and utilization of Volusia County Schools Contract with Top Line Recreation, Inc., for purchase and installation of playground equipment located at Pioneer Park and Coach Lorenzo Hamilton Sr. Park.
Hernando County Procurement Department has assigned No. 24-P0158/FH to this Contract for tracking purposes.
The Chief Procurement Officer has reviewed this requirement for conformance to Procurement Ordinance and Purchasing Policies and Procedures.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funding in the estimated annual amount of $250,000.00 is available in Hernando County Fund: 0011 - General Fund, Department: 04441 - Parks & Rec, Accounts: 5606301 (Improv - Grtr than 10,000.00).

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended the Board approve the utilization of Volusia County Schools Contract MTS-906BC with Top Line Recreation, Inc., to provide and install playground equipment for Pioneer Park and utilization of Volusia County Schools contract with Top Line Recreation, Inc., for the purchase and installation of playground equipment at Pioneer Park and Coach Lorenzo Hamilton Sr. Park for this fiscal year contract term, in the estimated spend amount of $250,000.00, or as Hernando County Parks and Recreation Department budgets allow.
It is further recommended the Board approve the Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) to renew the contract with the same terms and conditions and approve change orders as they become necessary and required up to annual budgeted amounts.
