BRIEF OVERVIEW
The purpose of the Emergency Management Preparedness and Assistance Grant (EMPA) is to provide state funds to assist local governments in preparing for all hazards as authorized by Section 252.272, Florida Statutes. Funds shall be allocated to implement and administer county emergency management programs.
Hernando County has been awarded $105,806.00 to fund the following allowable expenditures:
Information Technology: Hardware, software, computers, laptops, and ancillary operational supplies (e.g., docking stations, battery packs, etc.) for the Emergency Operations Center (EOC).
Training: Program development and delivery for all EOC partners, including workshops, advanced training, and exercise participation necessary for professional development.
Equipment: Repair and replacement of disaster response and recovery equipment and vehicles.

The attached budget resolution is for an increase of $105,806.00, aligned with the attached resolution, to:
