BRIEF OVERVIEW

On July 21, 2023, Hernando County Utilities Department submitted a Procurement request to piggyback off the Pasco County Contract No. IFB-KM-22-179 for chemical and Odor Control Systems Maintenance and Installation Services, with a contract expiration of October 21, 2025.

 

Hernando County Utilities Department currently has no Chemical and Odor Control Systems Maintenance and Installation Services contract and requests piggyback approval with Odyssey Manufacturing Co., to provide Chemical and Odor Control Systems Maintenance and Installation Services.  The Utilities Department is requesting an estimate annual amount of $200,000.00 per fiscal year of Contract for a total of $600,000.00.

 

Hernando County Procurement Department has assigned No. 23-P0109/FH to this Contract for tracking purposes.

 

The Chief Procurement Officer has reviewed this requirement for conformance to

Procurement Ordinance and Purchasing Policies and Procedures.

 

FINANCIAL IMPACT

Funding for FY23 is available in the amount of $200,000.00 in Hernando County Utilities Funded Account No. 4121-07201-5626323.  Additional funding for FY24 and FY25 in Account No. 4121-07201-5304617.  Purchases will only be made against the available department budget per Fiscal Year.

 

LEGAL NOTE

The Board has authority to act on this matter pursuant to Chapter 125, Florida Statutes.

RECOMMENDATION

It is recommended the Board approve the utilization of Pasco County Contract No. IFB-KM-22-179 (Hernando County File No. 23-P0109/FH) with Odyssey Manufacturing Co., for an as needed ongoing chemical and odor control systems maintenance and installation services with and estimated spend amount of $200,000.00 per fiscal year for a contract total of $600,000.00.

 

It is further recommended the Board approve the Chief Procurement Officer to renew the contract with the same terms and conditions and approve change orders as they become necessary and required up to annual budgeted amounts.
