BRIEF OVERVIEW
To receive appropriated funds for arthropod control in Hernando County, the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) requires an agreement with each County making the request for State aid. This agreement spells out the statutory requirements for compliance when receiving State-funded aid, as well as the various forms that are required to report the use of State and local funds.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The $61,855.56 is budgeted in:
Fund: 1181 - State Mosquito Control and was included in the adopted FY 25-26 budget.

The Board is authorized to act upon this matter pursuant to Chapter 125, Florida Statutes.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board approve and authorize the Chairman’s signature on the attached FY 2025-26 Contract Agreement No. 32912 with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services in order to receive state appropriated control funding for the new fiscal year.
