Proposed Revised Public Survey of Residents Living Within or Adjacent to Proposed Manatee Protection Zone

BRIEF OVERVIEW
At the October 8, 2025, Board of County Commissioners’ (BOCC) meeting, a public survey and resident mailing list were presented regarding the proposed Manatee Protection Zone. Revisions to the survey were requested by the BOCC along with confirmation of the mailing list. The revised survey and mailing list are included for review and approval by the BOCC.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Financial costs are dependent on how the survey will be provided to the public (i.e. electronically or mailed).

The Board is authorized to act on this item pursuant to Chapter 125, Florida Statutes.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board approve the survey language and advise staff on how to provide the survey to residents.
