BRIEF OVERVIEW

Rocky Mountain Holdings, LLC d/b/a Bayflite, has applied for a renewal of its current Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (COPCN) to operate Advanced Life Support and Basic Life Support helicopter ambulance services within the geographical boundaries of Hernando County.

 

Section 21-169(b), Hernando County Code of Ordinances, provides for the issuance of renewals without a public hearing when such renewal is in the public convenience and necessity.  All other certificate holders have been notified of the renewal request, provided with a copy of the application, and provided the opportunity to express any objections or concerns.

 

FINANCIAL IMPACT

The County is in receipt of $1,000 renewal fee in the following:

LEGAL NOTE

The Board has the authority to act on this matter pursuant to Sec. 125.01, Florida Statutes, Chapter 21, Art. X, Hernando County Code of Ordinances, and Hernando County Resolution No. 2014-20.

RECOMMENDATION

Based on the information in the application, review of current records, and the absence of any objections, it is recommended that the Board renew the Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (COPCN) for Rocky Mountain Holdings, LLC d/b/a Bayflite, and authorize the Chairman’s signature on the attached Certificate.
