BRIEF OVERVIEW
Ratification and approval is sought of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Hernando County and the Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD) to provide mutual assistance and temporary relocation of staff during emergency events. The agreement allows either party to relocate up to 20 staff members to the other agency’s facility, provides workspace and internet access, and allows requests for equipment and engineering assistance during emergencies. The MOU is effective for one year and automatically renews annually unless terminated by either party.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board ratify the County Administrator’s signature and approve the Memorandum of Understanding with the Southwest Florida Water Management District for emergency operations center mutual aid and temporary staff relocation.
