BRIEF OVERVIEW
On January 10, 2023, the Board approved utilization of Polk County Contact 22-245, Doc Id. No. 11579. Piggyback Contract No. 23-P0008/DK was assigned for tracking purposes.
The Department of Public Works (DPW) entered requisitions: RQ230647-Cassandra, Cimarron, Pocahontas; RQ230649-Ranchette Road; RQ230650-Rivard Boulevard.; RQ230651-Spring Hill 4B Area; and RQ230652-Garden Grove Subdivision. These projects are quoted over $35,000 and Board approval is requested.
The cost per requisition is as follows:
• Cassandra, Cimarron, Pocahontas $321,155.50
• Ranchette Road $133,496.80
• Rivard Boulevard $248,933.61
• Spring Hill 4B Area $467,514.90
• Garden Grove Subdivision $978,023.70
• Total cost of authorization request: $2,149,124.51
Purchase requisitions are for the following road paving projects:
• 109720 - Cassandra Way
• 109740 - Cimarron Way
• 109730 - Pocahontas Drive
• 109710 - Ranchette Road
• 112009 - Rivard Boulevard
• 109770 - Spring Hill 4B Area
• 109760 - Garden Grove Subdivision
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funding in the amount of $2,149,124.51 is available in Account No. 1022-03241-5616367 Additional Local Option Gas Tax 1-5, Improv-Residential Paved.
LEGAL NOTE
The Board has the authority to take the recommended action on this item pursuant to Chapter 125, Florida Statutes.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended the Board approve the purchases of pavement preservation and recycling treatments for projects with Asphalt Paving Systems and authorize the Chief Procurement Officer to approve change orders as they become necessary and required.
