BRIEF OVERVIEW
In 2019, the Building Division entered into a Contract with SJUR Solutions, Inc., to implement a pilot program utilizing Video Inspection Pro Software Solution. This software allows for the inspections to be performed remotely in real-time which eliminates the need for the inspector to go to the job site.
On January 24, 2023, Contract No. 23-PS0032 was approved by the Board. Due to the Building Department personnel shortages, the amendment is asking to add the following additional services to the contract:
• Performing of residential building, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing inspections on-site with support from VIP ($22 per inspection with minimum of 10 per day).
• Performing building commercial plan review (each review at $60/hour).
Due to staffing shortages, the Building Division is requesting the addition of the above listed services to the contract for a period of June 1, 2023, through December 31, 2023.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funding is available in Account No. 4611-07811-5303401 Contract Services in the annual estimated amount of $38,000.00.
LEGAL NOTE
The Board has the authority to take the recommended action pursuant to Part II, Chapter 2, Article V of the Hernando County Code of Ordinances.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board ratify and authorize the Chairman’s signature on the attached Amendment One (1) for Sole Source Contract No. 23-PS0032 with SJUR Solutions, Inc., utilizing only current operational budgets to cover the cost of future inspections to be performed. It is further recommended that the Board authorize the Chief Procurement Officer to approve Change Orders as they become necessary and required.
