BRIEF OVERVIEW
On February 27, 2024, the Board approved 2023-2024 Purchase Order Agreement with Lutheran Services Florida, Inc., to fund two positions in order to meet the goals of and objectives or the Hernando County Opioid Plan and provide support to Hernando County Housing and Supportive Services for the administration, implementation and management of the Florida Opioid Allocation and Statewide Response Agreement in Hernando County.
A Data Analyst position was authorized to analyze, interpret, and report program deliverables of old and new programs/ initiative and a Resource Coordinator to connect individuals with opioid use disorder, substance abuse disorders, and co-occurring mental health disorders to treatment, services, prevention, and other resources vital to recovery.
A purchase order agreement to fund the two positions for 2024-2025 is attached for review and approval.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funds in the amount of $205,242 are to be deposited into Fund: 0011 - General Fund, Department: 03721 - HHS-QLTY IMPR & CARE CORD, Account: 3469001 - CHG FOR SVCS-HUMAN SVCS to fund the two positions until June 2025. Additional funds will be added as Department of Children and Families funds for FY2026 become available.
The attached budget resolution agrees the budget to the grantor document and balances the revenues and expenditures.
