Submittal of RESTORE Act State Expenditure Plan Amendment for Coastal Stormwater Improvement - Calienta Street Project

body

BRIEF OVERVIEW

The planned Pot 3 funding for Hernando County’s Coastal Stormwater Improvement - Calienta Street, Project No. 14-5, is insufficient to cover the project’s current estimated expenses for construction due to increases in construction prices.  According to the most recent engineer’s estimate at final design plans, Hernando County has a shortfall of approximately $600,000.00.  At this time, WW Septic to Sewer Conversion, Project No. 14-4, is being funded by other sources.  Staff is requesting to remove $600,000.00 from the WW Septic to Sewer Conversion, Project No. 14-4, leaving a balance of $2,000,000 for this future project, and add the $600,000.00 to Coastal Stormwater Improvement - Calienta Street, Project No. 14-5.

FINANCIAL IMPACT

RESTORE funding will be updated when the amendment approval is received and being recognized by Hernando County.

LEGAL NOTE

The Board has the authority to act on this matter pursuant to Chapter 125, Florida Statutes.
