BRIEF OVERVIEW
A State Funded Grant Agreement between the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and Hernando County has been received for funding of the construction activities associated with the Anderson Snow Road at Corporate Boulevard Intersection Improvements.

The funding for this project was applied for through the Small County Outreach Program (SCOP) in 2022. SCOP funding assists small county governments in repairing and rehabilitating county bridges, paving unpaved roads, addressing road-related drainage improvements, resurfacing or reconstructing county roads, or constructing capacity or safety improvements on county roads.

Hernando County contracted with American Consulting Professionals, LLC to complete the design of this project utilizing County Funds. The project will provide for the signalization and expansion of the intersection of Anderson Snow Road and Corporate Boulevard. This intersection serves as one of the main entrances to the Brooksville-Tampa Bay Regional Airport. The airport is one of the main economic engines of Hernando County.

An associated grant resolution and budget resolution are attached to this item for the Board's consideration and approval.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
