License Agreement Between Southwest Florida Water Management District and Hernando County Utilities Department for Hydrological Monitoring Station at Annutteliga Hammock

BRIEF OVERVIEW
Hernando County Utilities Department (HCUD) needs to establish a new ecological and hydrologic monitoring station on Southwest Florida Water Management District’s (SWFWMD) Annutteliga Hammock property (SWF Parcel No. 15-228-2138X). This new monitoring station will be a useful tool to ensure that we meet future water requirements for Hernando County. SWFWMD requires a License Agreement with HCUD (requiring liability insurance) to cover HCUD’s use of SWFWMD property for the purpose of hydrologic monitoring.

There is no financial impact.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board, on behalf of the Hernando County Utilities Department, approve the License Agreement between SWFWMD and HCUD, and authorize the Chairperson’s signature thereon, after which staff will record the agreement in the Public Records of Hernando County.
