BRIEF OVERVIEW
The attached budget resolution is to recognize the FY24 State Aid to Libraries Grant funding from the State of Florida in the amount of $37,382 Operating funding and $460,421 for Equalization funding received as part of the State Aid to the Libraries Grant Program for the operation and maintenance of Countywide library services.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The attached resolution recognizes grant funding associated with the library operations.
The operating portion of the grant is $37,382 and the Equalization portion is $460,421, which combines to equal $497,803.
The funds received will increase the General Fund by $497,803 in Grant # 37033 / GMS # 551 for the Library Services Department. The funds will be applied:
Revenues:
Fund: 0011 - General Fund, Department: 37033 - Library State Aid, Account: 3347030 - ST GRT - DOS CSFA 45.030 for $497,803.
Expenses:
Fund: 0011 - General Fund, Department: 37033 - Library State Aid, Account: 5909911- Budget Res-Grants for $497,803.
These funds are set aside for FY24 and budgeted for FY25.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended the Board approve and authorize the Chairperson’s signature on the attached budget resolution recognizing the FY24 State Aid to Libraries grant funding.
