BRIEF OVERVIEW
The City of Tampa was awarded funds from the U.S Department of Homeland Security and the Regional Catastrophic Prepared Grant Program for the City to act as lead agency in order to develop a Post Disaster Redevelopment Plan (PDRP) for each county in the jurisdiction and to act as lead liaison in the development of an overarching regional plan. The Post Disaster Redevelopment Plan is a guidance document that identifies and lays out policies, operational strategies, and roles and responsibilities to help guide the decisions and actions of community leaders relative to long-term recovery and redevelopment following a major or catastrophic disaster.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board approve and authorize the Chairman’s signature on the attached memorandum of understanding between the City of Tampa, Hillsborough County, Pinellas County, Hernando County, Polk County and Pasco County for post disaster redevelopment plans.
