Agreement for Animal Licensing Services With PetData, Inc., for Issuing and Renewing of Animal Licenses and Registrations

body
BRIEF OVERVIEW
Since 2010, Animal Services has had a contract with PetData, Inc. of Irving, Texas, for managing the issuing and renewing of animal licenses and registrations for Hernando County; previous Contract No. 10-0037, approved on March 23, 2010. Animal Services staff researched the possible bidding for these services. Animal Services was not successful on locating a firm that provided similar services. Animal Services has negotiated a new agreement and terms and pricing for an additional three (3)-year period. The agreement was approved for legal sufficiency under LR# 22-576. PetData handles selling county licenses online, through the mail and at vet offices (they may collect on licenses we sell at our facility). They collect all rabies vaccination information done by veterinarians in Hernando County, then they use that information to send out reminders and late notices about licensing via the mail to County residents.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
The revenue from this contract over the next year is estimated to be $47,650.00 This agreement is a revenue generating contract with funds going to accounts:

* 01421-5303447 Animal Services, Contract SVC 3-YR LLC
* 01421-5303447 Animal Services, Contract SVC -Other Lic/Fees
