Tourist Development Council Special Events Marketing Grant Awards to Promote Florida’s Adventure Coast Events for FY 2026

BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Tourist Development Council (TDC) has recommended Marketing Grants for the following in Florida’s Adventure Coast:
• Hernando Beach Front Porch Art Walk, hosted by Coastal Hernando Business Group, Inc - $2,000
• Spring Lake Memorial Classic, hosted by The Arc Nature Coast, Inc. - $1,000
• Reggae Music Festival, hosted by Foggy Longbritches - $1,000
• Foggy Longbritches Folk Festival, hosted by Foggy Longbritches - $1,000
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The current budget available for grant funding is $20,600.

Fund: 1261 - Tourist Development, Department: 02811 - Tourist Development, Account: 5304804 - PROM ACT-Sponsorship.
All TDC Special Event Marketing Grants are funded by the 5% Tourist Development Tax. The requested grant funding is available in the approved budget.

The Board is authorized to act on this matter pursuant to Chapter 125, Florida Statutes.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board approve the TDC’s special event grant funding recommendations. It is further recommended that the Board approve and authorize the Chairman’s signature on the attached Coastal Hernando Business Group, Inc., Indemnification Agreement for the Front Porch Art Walk event.
