BRIEF OVERVIEW

Captec Spring Hill II, LLC is developing a commercial subdivision on the north side of Spring Hill Drive just west of the Suncoast Parkway.  As part of a Florida Development Environmental Protection (FDEP) grant, the Hernando County Utilities Department (HCUD) is currently upgrading the existing wastewater force main that is located within the proposed subdivision, known as the Hut Pump Station and Force Main Project. To meet the schedule of the proposed development, the Developer wishes to construct a portion of the new force main that is within the development.  For consideration, please see the attached agreement to construct this section of force main while providing reimbursement from HCUD.

 

FINANCIAL IMPACT

Funds in the amount of $338,863.78 are available in:

The Board has the authority to hear this item pursuant to Chapter 125, Florida Statutes.

RECOMMENDATION

It is recommended that the Board, on behalf of the Hernando County Water and Sewer District, approve and authorize the Chairman’s signature on the attached Utility Agreement with Captec Spring Hill II, LLC and authorize staff to record the agreement in the Public Records of Hernando County.
