BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Gehring Group, Inc., has provided the County consultant services for Employee Health Benefits since 2011. The Gehring Group, Inc., has entered into a co-brokerage agreement with RSC Insurance Brokerage, Inc. (RSC). Going forward, RSC will provide the County with benefits program review, renewal and benefits marketing services, ongoing program administration services, benefit program implementation services, clinic consulting services, healthcare reform and legislative compliance, online benefits enrollment, and ongoing employee benefits administration.
On February 25, 2020, the Board approved Contract No. 20-PS0079/DK with The Gehring Group, Inc., for a term of thirty-six (36) months effective April 13, 2019, with two (2) additional twelve (12) month renewal periods, Doc Id No. 16715; that contract has expired.
The Procurement Department reached out to RSC, formerly The Gehring Group, Inc., to initiate a new Contract, which Contract term shall extend for thirty-six (36) months retroactive from April 12, 2024. There will be two (2) twelve (12) month renewal periods.
Staff is requesting approval of this new contract retroactive to April 12, 2024, and expiring April 11, 2027.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Not applicable - this is a no cost contract.
LEGAL NOTE
Per Purchasing Ordinance, Part II, Chapter 2, Article V, Sec. 2-101, Medical Services are exempt from competitive solicitation.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended the Board approve and authorize the Chairperson’s signature on the attached Contract to RSC Insurance Brokerage, Inc., for employee health benefits consultant services (Contract #24-A0173/CT).
Contract term shall extend for thirty-six (36) months retroactive from April 12, 2024. There will be two (2) twelve (12) month renewal periods.
