BRIEF OVERVIEW
Parcel Key 13032 is a 20,633 square foot parcel located on Twigg Street owned by Antonio J. Cancelli-Patrick. In purchasing this property on Twigg Street, Hernando County will be supporting a suitable living environment through acquisition and demolition of vacant and abandoned properties, thus making efforts to eliminate slum and blight.

Hernando County Housing and Supportive Services will use Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds for the purchase of said property. According to Hernando County's CDBG Annual Action Plan for 2024 and 2025 detailing how the county would spend their awarded allocation, certain funds would be used to address slum and blighted areas.

Disposition of real property under the CDBG program can be through sale, lease, donation, or otherwise, provided that the property will be used to meet a National Objective of the Community Development Block Grant Program. When acquisition of real property is to eliminate specific conditions of blight or physical decay, the clearance activity may be considered the actual use of the property. However, any subsequent use or disposition of the cleared property must be treated as a "change of use" under CFR 570.503(b)(7) or 570.505, whichever is applicable. Should HUD approve the change of use for the property, Hernando County Housing and Supportive Services would use the property to meet another National Objective of the Community Development Block Grant program, like affordable housing.

The parcel is described as follows:
