BRIEF OVERVIEW

On March 10, 2020, the BOCC approved award of Contract No. 20-T00048/CH to Aqua Clean Environmental Co., Inc., for an estimated annual spend of $300,000.00 and authorized the Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) to approve change orders as they become necessary and required.  (Subsequent to execution of the agreement, Aqua Clean Environmental Co., Inc., was purchased by Shamrock Environmental Corp., and converted Aqua Clean to an LLC.  The Vendor is now Shamrock Environmental Corp., d/b/a Aqua Clean Environmental Company, LLC.)

 

Purchase Order No. 24000472 for Leachate Hauling and Disposal Services was originally issued for $300,000.00. 

 

Change order No. 1 is requested in the amount of $150,000.00 to cover outstanding invoices and estimated invoices for the remainder of this fiscal year.

 

Hernando County Solid Waste Department is also requesting an increase in the estimated annual spend to $450,000.00 for subsequent years. 

 

FINANCIAL IMPACT

Funding, in the amount of $150,000.00, is available in Hernando County Utilities Department:

LEGAL NOTE

The Board has the authority to act on this item pursuant to Part II, Chapter 2, Article V of the Hernando County Code of Ordinances.

 

recommendation

RECOMMENDATION

It is recommended the Board approve Change Order No. 1 in the amount of $150,000.00 to Purchase Order No. 24000472, bringing the total purchase order amount to $450,000.00 for FY24. 

 

It is further recommended that the Board increase the annual allowable spend to $450,000.00 and authorize the CPO to approve change orders up to budgeted amounts.
