BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Fifth Judicial Circuit Court, Drug Court (Hernando County) is currently in need of drug testing services where results are received within a 72-hour period. Current drug testing services available to the Court are not able to meet this benchmark and the Court has requested a Single Source Contract with Abbott Testing Services via Redwood Toxicology Laboratory, Inc. to meet this benchmark. Due to the potential health risks associated with waiting longer periods for results, the Court is asking for approval of this request to enable the Court to quickly identify any drug use by Drug Court participants so that subsequent sanctions and therapeutic adjustments can be issued expeditiously.
Sole/Single Source Notice of Intent was posted on June 23, 2023, per the Purchasing and Contracts Policies and Procedures No. 070A, Paragraph IV. Sub-Paragraph 4. The last day for receipt of information regarding this posting was July 11, 2023, no information, inquiries, or protests were issued.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funding for professional services is available in Account No. 1242-38206-5303101 in the amount $86,894.36.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board approve and authorize the Chairman's signature on the attached testing services agreement with Redwood Toxicology Laboratory, Inc., for non-clinical testing services for adult Drug Court for a term to extend from date of signature to May 30, 2025, with an estimated annual spend of $86,694.36.
