BRIEF OVERVIEW
Staff received Amendment Contract No. 1273 dated July 1, 1972, from Joey Hicks, Director of Administration at Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, requesting the Chairman’s signature.
This letter, upon execution by both parties and attachment to the original contract, shall serve to amend said contract. The contract shall be amended as follows:
FROM
1. The Department shall provide fire protection for 161,323 acres of forest and wildlands within the County.
2. The County shall, under the terms of this agreement; pay to the Department annually as its share of the cost of providing such fire protection, $11,292.61, said receipts to be deposited as prescribed by Florida Statue.
TO
1. The Department shall provide fire protection for 139,679 acres of forest and wildlands within the County.
2. The County shall, under the terms of this agreement; pay to the Department annually as its share of the cost of providing such fire protection, $9,777.53, said receipts to be deposited as prescribed by Florida Statue.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The future payments will be $9,777.53 for 139,679 acres, and the expense will be budgeted in Account No. 0011-03501-5808107.

The Board has the authority to take action on this matter pursuant to Chapter 125, Florida Statutes.

It is recommended that the Board approve and authorize the Chairman’s signature on the attached amendment for Contract No. 1273.
