BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) advised that $56,095 in Federal FY 2021 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAGC) Program funding has been set aside for use by all units of government within Hernando County. The Board of County Commissioners approved grant applications as follows on August 23, 2022.
• $37,110.00 - Hernando County Sheriff's Office to purchase 7 Patrol In-Car Cameras
• $12,370.00 - Hernando County Court Administration Adult Drug Court Program, to purchase drug testing supplies/equipment and lab result confirmations.
The attached certification forms are required for Hernando County Sheriff’s Office and Hernando County Court Administration Adult Drug Court Program to submit their FY 2021 JAGC grant applications.

The Board has the authority to take action on this matter pursuant to Chapter 125, Florida Statutes.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board approve and authorize the Chairman’s signature on the attached FY 2021 Lobbying, Debarment and Drug Free Workplace Certification and Telecommunications and Video Surveillance Services or Equipment Certifications forms for the Sheriff’s Office and the Hernando County Court Administration Adult Drug Court Program to execute them in the Amplifund electronic system as required by the FDLE.
